What Business Processes Should You Automate First?
Discussion
Business automation can reduce repetitive work, improve consistency, minimize manual errors, and allow employees to focus on higher-value activities. However, organizations should not automate every process immediately. The best starting point is usually a process that is repetitive, rule-based, time-consuming, high-volume, and relatively stable.
Examples include approval workflows, invoice processing, employee onboarding, lead assignment, customer notifications, data synchronization, and routine reporting. Before automation, businesses should understand the existing process and remove unnecessary steps rather than simply automating inefficient workflows.
